Megastar singer Celine Dion met Milagros and 11 other special children as part of the book An Incredible Journey with Celine Dion: 12 Heroes Among Us. The children's stories were compiled by correspondents from Readers Digest, and the proceeds will benefit children all over the world.

"It's an amazing project because you can read and learn about those miracles and heroes—babies, children—you can learn about those stories, and all the proceeds go for needy children and sick children," she says. "It was a blessing."

Celine's son Renй-Charles has grown up in the spotlight, but he's no toddler anymore. "He's 7 1/2 and 3/4," she says. In all his years, one thing about Renй-Charles has always remained the same—Celine and her husband, Renй, have never cut his hair. "I've asked him many times, 'Do you want me to trim your hair?' And he says, 'No, Mom, I like my hair like that.' We've talked about it many, many times."

Celine says she doesn't care about what Renй-Charles looks like, only that he grows up well. "I prefer that he has long hair, he's succeeding in school, he's doing well, he's a great human being, he's adaptable…than to have a kid with short hair who's selfish and a brat and he's not happy," she says. "We kind of decide as a family what's good for us, because what's good for us might not be good for that family. And what's good for that family might not be good for us."

Celine says she and Renй have thought about having another baby once her current tour ends. "I would love to be blessed again," she says. "Hopefully we are pregnant and are parents again. If not, that's fine. That's fine. We have a beautiful child."

MINNEAPOLIS SHOW POSTPONED
October 29 , 2008

AEG Live just announced Celine Dion has been forced to postpone her show scheduled for this Thursday, October 30 at Target Center in Minneapolis, MN. Celine, who has been battling a respiratory virus for the past week, performed the second of two consecutive shows in Winnipeg last night, but left the stage weak and breathless. Her doctor stated that despite antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, bronchodilators and mucolytic agents prescribed for her condition, she has continued to worsen and he insists that she refrain from singing for the next five days, in order for her to recover completely.

Celine's next show on her Taking Chances World Tour, next Tuesday, November 4th at the United Center in Chicago, will go ahead as scheduled.

Celine Dion's Minneapolis concert will be rescheduled for Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Target Center. All tickets purchased for the October 30th concert will be honored on the new date.

For fans that are unable to attend the rescheduled date of February 5, a refund will be available at original point of purchase.

In editia de noiembrie a revistei "Reader's Digest" Romania este un articol despre Celine si povestea fetitei romance din programul "Hommages en Visages". Spune cum Celine s-a imprietenit din prima clipa cu acei copii, are un dar de relationa cu oamenii. :oops:
